Enter your current grade, the grade you're aiming for, and how much the final is worth. It works out the exact score you need on the final — and tells you instantly when the target is already locked in or simply out of reach.

Score 98% on the final to finish the course at 90%.
Your course grade is a weighted average. The final exam owns a slice of it; everything else is already settled at your current grade. The score you need on the final is simply whatever it takes for that one slice to drag the average up to your target. Two ideas do all the work.
Three steps turn three numbers into the score you need on the final.
Divide the final's weight by 100 to get f. The rest of the course is the leftover fraction 1 − f.
Multiply your current grade by 1 − f to get the banked amount, then subtract it from your target. That gap is what the final must cover.
Divide the gap by f. The result is the score you need on the final — above 100% means out of reach, zero or below means already secured.
Every result lands in one of three buckets. Switch between them to see the same formula produce a reachable score, an already-secured target, and an impossible one.
A normal score gets you there — 98% on the final lands the course at exactly 90%.
The fastest answer for the most common cases: pick a target, then read off the score you need for any current grade and final weight. A check means it's already secured; a cross means even a perfect final falls short.

The same calculation answers very different questions depending on where you sit going into finals week.
Everything on this page comes from one weighted-average rearrangement. Your final course grade is current × (1 − f) + final × f; set that equal to your target and solve for the final.
A result above 100% means the target can't be reached with this final alone; a result of 0% or below means you've already secured it. A weight of 0% is undefined — a final worth nothing can't change your grade.

BMI = weight in kilograms ÷ height in metres squared. If you measure in pounds and inches, BMI = 703 × weight (lb) ÷ height (in) squared. This guide shows both formulas worked end to end, the standard WHO category table, and what BMI can and cannot tell you.

To calculate GPA, convert each letter grade to its point value on the 4.0 scale, multiply each by the course's credit hours to get quality points, sum those quality points, and divide by the total credit hours. This guide walks through the formula, a full worked example, weighted versus unweighted GPA, and cumulative GPA across semesters.
